FPAR is a professional non-profit self-regulatory trade association which promotes and represents the interests of its members whilst seeking to protect and inform the general public when interacting with the probate and asset research industry.

The organisation requires members to operate a quality service with high standards. This is achieved through a number of measures including a stringent membership vetting process and proof of competence in the field. As a minimum, FPAR also requires members to operate a mandatory code of ‘best practice’ plus have active Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII).

Member support includes regulation updates, resource and information sharing, networking, plus member/client mediation service should issues arise.

FPAR welcomes enquiries from the public and those seeking verification of membership when receiving documentation displaying the FPAR logo.
